today i believe...

... that there's something strangely nostalgic about the smell of rain.

... that since February is a notoriously cold, gloomy month, it's all the more important to make extra-fun plans to scatter throughout those chilly twenty-eight days.

... that a good, extra-bubbly glass of Champagne really can't be underestimated.

... that the hardest part of choosing isn't the choice itself, but learning to let go of all the other possibilities that you didn't choose.

... that there's nothing quite like the luxury of sleeping late and sipping coffee in bed.

... that a new month calls for new books! (And personally, I've got my eye on BJ Novak's book and Lorrie Moore's latest collection among these February must reads.)

... that just-because presents are the best kinds of presents.

... that it's perfectly okay to just not know.

... and that you should always make a point to invest time and energy in yourself, because you can only be good to other people when you're first being good to yourself.

How true is that?! You hit the nail on the head. I can be so indecisive, and I think that points to why - it's because I'm scared of all the things that I could miss.

Great list!

I also love your thoughts on choosing. Oh so true and I can definitely relate to this at the moment!
