sweet home chicago.

It's been more than six months since I've gone back home to Chicago — far, far too long — and I couldn't be more excited to spend next week back in my hometown. It's freezing in Glen Ellyn right now, and although it hasn't been too snowy just yet, I have to say that I'm crossing my fingers for some flurries, mostly because I'd love for the lake to freeze over for ice skating. There's just something so gorgeous about the town this time of year, as if it transforms into a real-life snow globe, and when skaters make their way to the boat house, it looks like a classic Christmas card, doesn't it?
