by the bay: china camp

One of the best things about living in Marin County is Radley knowing all the best spots. Growing up here, he's learned where to grab coffee on a Sunday morning, where to hike on a foggy afternoon, which time of day to visit the bay for that perfect, golden light. China Camp — he especially loves it there, partly because it's drenched in family memories, and partly because it's rich with history.

We've been going on a lot of little local adventures lately, so I'll be adding to this "By the Bay" series with some of my favorite places, featuring the restaurants, shops, and spaces I love. And for those of you who live nearby or have visited San Francisco, I'm curious: What are your go-to spots?

Marin is my favorite place on earth! I grew up there too.

Favorite spots:

1. Sol Food - Fresh, delicious Puerto Rican food. Craving some right now! Always a line out the door at this spot.

2. Woodlands Market for the perfect sandwich.

3. Picco - sit at the bar and watch your pizza cook in a wood-fired oven. Best pizza I've ever had, time and time again.

4. Rulli's - for the vibe, and the delicious coffee. You can pretend you're in Italy here.

I could go on and on, but these are my favorites. Enjoy!
