today i believe...

... that a day in colorful Capitola, California can do wonders for the soul.

... that every once in a while, it's absolutely necessary to cancel all your plans and have a weekend full of books, bikinis, and as much nothing as you can fit into the day.

... that a handwritten letter is always the way to go.

... that sometimes — or maybe all the time — your perspective matters most.

... that it's totally okay to subscribe to way more magazines than you could ever possibly read, only to let them pile up into a nice big stack that's perfect for a rainy day.

... that one of the most difficult lessons is to learn the balance between acceptance and ambition.

... that Summer calls for spontaneous road trips and long nights under the stars.

... and that it's just a fact: when in doubt, mom and dad know best.

This is perfect. I adore handwritten letters too, and totally agree that my mum always knows best. Dad- maybe less so, but I know he's always well intentioned. And a day of nothing is absolutely necessary every now and then- I have to have those to recharge.
Also, Capitola looks so cool! xx
