We went back and forth on whether we wanted to share a first look, but it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the day. I'll never forget the magic of Radley standing there, silent, facing away from me, the only sound being the ruffle of my dress against the bricks as I stepped toward him.
As soon as he turned toward me, I felt my heart rise into my throat for the first of many times that day. The look on his face, the surprise, the rush of joy — we were completely wrapped up in each other and the moment and at one point, he stepped back and jokingly cheered. It was perfect.
Seeing Radley and sharing that time with him snapped any sense of nerves — from then on, everything was just plain fun. After our beautiful first-look moment, Radley and I hopped into a shuttle with the rest of the girls and headed out to the grove to meet our family for pictures. As we drove, a breeze came through the window, the air cooled, and the girls broke into song, singing the sweetest, most excited version of "Goin' to the Chapel" in the entire world. I'd never felt more filled with love.
