brooklyn brick.

While I was in New York, Meg took me over to Brooklyn to visit her neck of the woods. We meandered through Brooklyn Heights, took in the view of Manhattan, then strolled down to where she lives in Carroll Gardens. I fell instantly in love with it all — with the wide, tree-lined streets, the rows of red brick brownstones, the very character of the neighborhoods. Everything felt rich with history and charm, with the kind of can't-put-your-finger-on-it magic that makes you wish you could paint every corner, every building. I guess it's safe to say I'll be back a time or two.
