today i believe...

... that nothing beats a big, cozy sweater on a chilly day.

... that you should always appreciate a friend who can tell you the raw, honest truth.

... that a dimly-lit bar and a classic cocktail can make you feel like you've stepped into Mad Men.

... that there's no shame in sometimes (or lots of times) needing a Venti.

... that Babel is maybe the best thing that's ever happened to me. (Only a slight exaggeration.)

... that orange blossoms always make for the best, most perfect scents.

... and that re-falling in love — with a person, a song, a place — can be even better.

I love this! Sweaters and ventis are essential at this time of year, and honest friends and re-falling in love never goes out of style.

Babel is so good! I really want to see M&S live now but the only US date they have is in LA (where I live) in November when I'll be out of town! Argh, timing!

Babel is brilliant! These days, I Will Wait is the first song I put on in the morning. After a hot shower, there's nothing better than dancing around wildly in your underwear and that tune is the perfect accompaniment.

I'm desperately waiting for them to announce their European tour.

The photo is beautiful!

i agree about re-falling in love with things. i get such a rush from the feeling of rediscovering - especially old favorite songs. or finding an old pair of earrings i used to wear all the time & bringing them back into the rotation. it's great to find joy in things you've momentarily forgotten.
