I've long admired my blog-turned-real-life friend Meg for her sharp, insightful views on food and health, so when she asked me to team up for a wellness series, I was thrilled. For one thing, I always welcome a new project — any excuse to write lists, really — and for another, I can't think of a more important, relevant issue to tackle. Let's face it: Good health is everything.
So today, together with Meg, I'd like to introduce our collaborative health series: Weekly Wellness, a community-driven project to help each of us adopt a more mindful lifestyle. We want to focus on our health, we want to start a dialogue, and we'd love for you to be part of this experiment, too.
Here's how it works: Every week for the next twelve weeks, we'll be focusing on one specific, health-related goal. Each Monday, we'll highlight the word and goal of the week, and on Sundays, we'll dish on all the ups and downs: what worked for us, what didn't, and how we'll move forward. Meanwhile, of course, we'd like you to join in! Our hope is that this project will spark a conversation, so we'd love for you to chime in and share your own experience. A quick summary of what to expect:
As you can see, we're starting small and simple this week: More water. It's a no-brainer, but it makes a huge difference — and we'll be using this easier week to train our brains and get motivated. Personally, I have two objectives: to drink more water and to give up my afternoon Diet Coke habit.
Health is more than just what you eat or how often you move, so we're trying to look at wellness from every angle. Plus, a note to remember: Living well means something different to all of us. For me, this is an opportunity to step back, regroup, and pick up a few pointers along the way.
Think you might like to try it with us? Get involved! Let's make this a group effort: If you'd like to participate, feel free to join the conversation here and on Meg's blog, then share your thoughts, tips, tricks, or challenges using the #WeeklyWellness hashtag on both Twitter and Instagram. Meg and I will be following along — and we can't wait to hear from you!

Love this! I'm drinking more water starting now! It's a good thing to remember when it starts to get cooler outside. When it's hot I remember to drink water, but as it cools down I don't think I drink enough. I love all the goals. Thanks!
Love it! Count me in! Although week 4 and 5 falls during my vacation ... so, good reminder to disconnect from unnecessary technology, but eating three veggies a day may be the real challenge. :)
I just wrote each of these challenges in my day planner and added one more to create a week 13 as "Evaluate". Since it will be so close to the new year by then I thought it might be nice to evaluate how far I've come within the 12 wks and think about what I'd like to do next for 2013.
I'm in! I'm also doing insanity workouts everyday this week, wish me luck!
Also good luck to all the ladies participating in the Weekly Wellness!

great idea, ladies!
two of my favourite bloggers together - perfect!
Every Monday, I write a list of things I need to do for the week and this Monday morning (which would have been Sunday night your time), I wrote "Drink 1L of water" and then this post comes up a few hours later and I figure it's fate, right? I have to join.
So yesterday and today, I carried around my bottle of water and have met my goal both days. I'm really looking forward to the coming weeks and goals. I need this kind focus right now.
Two of my favorite bloggers coming together for such a great project? - of course I'm in! :)see you on instagram...
