I don't know if it's the sky full of books or the (hilly) sunset walks home or the simple treasure of open afternoon hours, but lately I've felt more connected to this city than ever before. Truth is, I haven't felt so immersed in a place since I lived in England — and with this feeling of immersion comes a lovely, welcome sense of inspiration. Fall always seems like the perfect time to write, doesn't it?

the books remind me of wings. and what can be a better time to write when our inspirations are flying free all around us? now all i need's a cup of coffee
i wish that fall would make its way to san diego... its sweaty and muggy here! yuck! and i LOVE that photo... i recently saw a tattoo like that of falling books and i thought it was so beautiful.
