I admire Sam for so many reasons — her wit, her style, and how quickly she can come up with a good metaphor, to name a few. Her photography, though, her photography is something different altogether. Admire doesn't even cover it. She's incredible. And to see the most special day of our lives through her eyes? Well, I'm honored, to say the least.
Last week, she wrote the sweetest post in the world on her blog — a post all about joy, our friendship, and the wedding weekend. Here, a glimpse of our big day as seen by Sam:
Off to the grove to begin the ceremony.
Mingling with the bridal party.
A close-up of the bouquet: dahlias and ranunculas, all in sunset shades, tied with gold ribbon.
Standing with my lifelong best friends, already feeling out-of-body.
A hanging flower box above the bar for cocktail hour.
Our escort (library) cards — and a whole lot of flowers — spilling out of a card catalog.
Flowers along the aisle, plus trailing gold ribbon.
The bar sign, featuring "cheers" in all the languages of our ethnicities.
Standing in our lounge area, beside the bookshelf.
A glimpse of the head table during my dad's welcome speech.
Clinking glasses = Kiss :)
Thank you, Sam. I've tried, but I genuinely have no words for a friend like you.
