some wedding specifics.

Although I'm still staying silent on most of the wedding details, I've decided to share the date today—mostly because Saturday marked the six month countdown and I'm just so, so excited!

Radley and I are getting married on August 4, 2012 here in California :)

Let me just say that it's a really, really important date for me. My parents were married on August 4, 1984—yep, 8.4.84—and their marriage has been both inspiring and intimidating, as I never imagined I'd find someone as meant for me as they are for each other. I did, though, and there was never a question as to the date I wanted to marry him. (Luckily, it falls on a Saturday this year.)

Even better? Anyone who knows me well—or anyone who has seen me set an alarm to 6:03, adjust the radio volume to 9, or change the temperature to 66—knows that I can be a total numerology nerd. For whatever reason, I've always loved the number 33 and sort of obsessed over multiples of 3. So the fact that 8.4.12 can turn into 8 + 4 = 12  and 8 + 4 + 12 = 24 makes the date all the more perfect.

There are exactly 179 days until our wedding... you know, not that I'm counting :)

I'm not obsessed with numerology, but I have a weird thing with month/date combinations. I can tell you that in my twisted little brain, August 4 is a BEAUTIFUL combination. :)

Love the date + explanation! I am a complete numbers geek, too, so I was thrilled when our date added up, as well. 05.18.13 - the two outside numbers equal the middle number.

that is adorable. i would like to have our wedding date be september 22 or 25 since cute guys birthday lands on october 23 and mine november 24. (not that we are engaged or planning on marriage anytime soon) but i think it would be cool to have the numbers go like that. xoxo
