rooftop sunsets.

One of my favorite things about our new building is the view from the rooftop—especially on clear days when you can see all the way across the bay to Marin. In Chicago Radley and I watched the sun set from our balcony, but here in San Francisco, we head straight upstairs as soon as we notice the sun starting to dip toward the horizon. It's become one of the best parts of my day, quiet and calm and perfect for clearing my mind when things start to feel a little too hectic.

Do you have an end-of-the-day routine to keep yourself calm?

Y'alls rooftop view is absolutely amazing, really I'm jealous. My end-of-the-day routine always involves reading a book.

wow. that's all I can say. WOW!!! this is AMAZING! What a view!

I've found that cooking dinner with my husband is my calm, happy place these days. We turn on some music (anything from Frank Sinatra, to Adele, to John Mayer) while we chop, sear, broil, etc (and maybe there's even a little dancing in the kitchen. I wouldn't have it any other way.)

isn't it just breathtaking! our stairs to the roof is actually a little ladder that leads us through a crawl space in the roof so we don't go up there that often cause it's so hard to shimmy your way through the hole. but i just love that view

@Liz Love that! My fiance's definitely the better cook, so I usually take the position role in the kitchen :) Our latest habit is to play cards while we wait for things to bake! (Total game nerds.)

If I had a rooftop, with a view like that, I'd be getting up there all the time!!
What a great view! I love how you can see some mountains in the background. And of course, the Golden Gate Bridge!!

Unfortunately for me buildings in portugal don't have rooftop like american constructions. Well, most of it. So besides a balcony we don't have a city view from our houses.

To me a great class at the gym and then 10 15 minutes of sauna make my day. Even if i have things to do after, it feels i'm taking weight off.
