I've been going through tons of old photographs for a wedding project and couldn't help but laugh when I found this one--the first picture Radley and I ever took together. It so perfectly captures who we were when we met: twenty years old and living the San Diego beach life without a care in the world.
A lot has changed since then--our city, our responsibilities, and my hair, to name a few. But I see how infatuated I am in this picture and that affection, that easy bliss--it hasn't changed. When Radley left that day, I remember turning to my best friend and saying: "Don't ever let me forget how I'm feeling right now. Please don't let me forget this."
And I haven't. I haven't forgotten because I still feel that way every day that I'm with him.
Blessed. Smitten. Twenty-four with (a few more) cares in the world.
(I can't wait to marry him.)
