fancy friday (the waterproof edition.)

... and because, well, who doesn't love a classic, colorful trench?

Happy Friday!

*Oh, and P.S. -- For those of you Chicagoans/DePaul students with some free time today, I'll be reading one of my newer stories at the English Grad Conference this afternoon... All are welcome! :)

Laura, I just bought a navy floral-print raincoat (from target) and it has actually made me kind of excited for the last couple of rainy days because I get to wear it.

... I think getting the quilted wellies may help me keep this feeling going a little bit longer.

My hunting boots’ waterproof membrane is almost worn out. Well, I wanted to do away with them and obtain new ones, but a friend of mine insisted that I can waterproof them. This is quite a guide you have here on how to waterproof boots, and I think it will help me refurbish my resourceful pair. Just arrived from a vacation in Canada where I swear it's always winter there! No wonder my sister who lives there with her family has taken on a new "craft"- making snowshoes! I know it can sound crazy but when I was there, I think if I'll just be serious about it, I can make several. But since I'm on a vacation, I was not able to spend time doing it. Check out this site that teaches how to make those snowshoes: http://backpackingmastery.com/skills/how-to-make-snowshoes.html
