a list of little things | friends everyone should have

friends everyone should have:
the one who can make you laugh no matter what kind of mood you're in.
the one who just understands, no explanation needed.
the one who can talk books and big ideas.
the one who's willing to tell you what you don't want to hear.
the one who loves the same music--a concert buddy.
the one you've known since preschool, who's more sister than friend.
the one who runs, bikes, and hikes with you.
the one who can do girls' night out or girls' night in.
the one you can tell anything to and know you won't be judged.
the one who pushes you to be your best self.
the one who loves to cook and bake and eat, shame-free.
the one who shares your sense of style.
the one with a free spirit and an open mind.
the one who builds you up and celebrates your successes.
the one who sends thoughtful cards via snail mail.
the one you look up to, who inspires you.
and the one who'd always be there--anytime, anywhere.

A friend who brings out the best in you, and loves you at your worst.

It's funny when people say that good friends are hard to come by, because you can't help but to feel amazing that you're one of the lucky ones with good, true friends. Your list is spot on. I too got lucky with friends that fall into every category. Lovely post as always!

i love this laura! such a great list and oh so true - it's even better when you're able to find a friend who has many of these qualities all in one package :).

I really love this list. As I was reading it, different names popped in my head and it brought warm smiles to my face. The list also inspired me as to which friend I am and which friend I want to be....great post!
