today i believe...

... that sometimes, tough or not, you just have to make a change.

... that you shouldn't be embarrassed by your DVR lineup, because Modern Family and The Office totally make up for Real Housewives and The Bachelor.

... that it's important to surround yourself with people who build you up--people with character, people with integrity, people who feel good about themselves and make you feel good about yourself, too.

... that crossword puzzles are one of the world's greatest pastimes.

... that I absolutely have to go back for Bonnaroo Round Two because the 2011 lineup--Mumford & Sons(!!!), Arcade Fire, Eminem, The Black Keys, Florence + the Machine, Neon Trees,  and on and on--is absolutely insane.

... that the blogging community is incredibly, fantastically supportive and that kind readers are something to be oh-so-grateful for.

... and that there's just something sort of melodramatic and romantic and completely perfect about raindrops dotting a windowpane.

my boyfriend is from tennessee and i keep trying to talk him into a little road trip to TN for Bonnaroo under the guise of visiting his family and then heading off to Bonnaroo because the lineup is AMAZING and it's on my birthday :)

this made me particularly happy this week.

my grandma used to do crosswords for hours. I still have yet to finish one. makes me sad for myself.

your DVR isn't as bad as mine. I'm a closet Gleek.

Bonnaroo sounds amazing. I love that Eminem made your list. Also I'm in love with Mumford and Sons (saw them live last summer)

and just fyi, your sweet comments have been making my terrible week better. thank you friend.

I recently stumbled upon your blog and I love the Today I Believe series! Everything is so inspirational and so dead on. :) And now I too want to escape and go to Bonnaroo because Mumford and Sons, Neon Trees, and Florence + the Machine may or may not be my favorite bands.
