snowmageddon... (but seriously.)

As I'm sure many of you know, here in the Midwest we're witnessing what newscasters are calling "Snowmageddon" and "Snowpocalypse"--or, as Anna, my favorite Kansasian, (Kansasite? Kansasonian?) so wonderfully put it: The Blizzard of Oz.

It looks, well, absolutely nothing like this picture outside--there's no sun, no sky, just... white. I never knew it was possible to both thunderstorm and blizzard at the same time but yes, apparently it is! School has been cancelled, businesses have closed, and most of us are basically hibernating our way through the next couple days. I can't say I'm too upset about it, though, because who couldn't use a few days to catch up on life? And, okay, our Netflix queue?

I've also had the chance to do something I've been meaning to do for quite a while now--I've changed the blog address! It will take a few days to completely transition, but if you visit the old URL, you'll still be redirected to my blog at the new address: littlethingsandcuriosities.com.

(And I know it's a pain, but for those of you who have linked to this blog in your sidebar or on your blogroll, I'd really appreciate it if you'd update the address--thank you!)

Hope you're all having a nice week!
And for those of you who, like me, are snowed in: Keep warm! :)

So glad you did your own domain name! At blissdom they stressed how important that is. We are snowed in, in TX too!

I was just reading the news about how Chicago was almost completely shut down! That's crazy! Here in Utah we haven't gotten any snow - it's just -20 degrees in some places! I think I'd rather have the Blizzard of Oz. :) Enjoy a few days off!

I am totally snowed in... my car is under a 6' snow drift, and my front door is currently lost! I am so in love with it :) Hope you survived the blizzard!

A blizzard and a thunderstorm? Interesting, I didn't know such things happened at once. I hope you're staying warm. At least we can celebrate the announcement of an early spring, "according to the groundhog that is."
