montmartre, s'il vous plait.

No, I'm not in Montmartre today... but oh how I wish I were.

Because the days have felt just a bit too long and a bit too cold and a bit too busy lately--and, well, right now all I want to do is daydream about cobblestones lanes and street artists and gorgeous views of the Eiffel Tower. So I think I'll just pretend I'm in Paris, k? (Maybe I'll even eat a crepe or two.)

... If you could be anywhere in the world today, where would you be?

being a bit too cold, or a bit too busy seems different if it were in Paris, or London - doesn't it?

I would be in Rome, Italy. Or possibly the Vatican. Yeah, most definitely the Vatican. I would love to see the Sistine Chapel again. I need to do a post on my trip to Rome 3 years ago. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

London... or Paris -- or both for that matter. London in the morning and in Paris by sunset sounds pretty perfect. Thanks for the gorgeous photos!

I adore the second photo!!

If I could be anywhere in the world today...I would be in a beach house along the East Coast. It can stay winter. I just want to lounge around in cozy clothes, drinking tea, and reading amazing books while curled up under a blanket on a window seat with an amazing view of the sea. Yes. That sounds perfect.

I visited Paris for the first time two years ago---I have never had such a wonderfully romantic holiday. The architecture is beautiful. In Montmarte, just outside the Sacre Coeur, did you happen to see the busker/guitarist? As beautiful and as wonderful as the rest of the trip was, he made that holiday what it was by skilfully playing songs which created one of the warmest of moods in the beautiful, beautiful sunshine! I hope to return there some day soon and I hope you do, too!
