the little things making my week just that much better...

The Green Monster, recommended by the lovely Meg:
This stunning story collection by one of my favorite professors, Christine Sneed:
The grey Franco Sarto boots I got for Christmas:
The beautiful snowstorm falling outside our window:
And the most gorgeous golden dictionary in the world (Thank you, Radley!):
The start of the year is always such a busy, hectic time--in a good way, though, I think--so I've been depending on the smaller details to help push me through all the chaos.

I'm curious: What little things are making your week?

GReat photos, LM! My little thing is actually a BIG thing-- we've been snowed in since Sunday night. It's been an unexpected opportunity to catch up, reorganize, rest up, and get well. Blessing.

Whoa, what pretty pictures. Looks like you're having a fabulous week with all the lovely little things!

The little things making my week are: new organization purchases for school(hello, color-coded binder clips!), the new yoga class I'm trying tonight, and the homemade biscotti I plan on making at the end of the week.

(PS: I read the article from the HuffPost you referenced a few posts back -- excellent. Thanks!)

Great post and photos. =The things making my day include a peaceful snowy day, filled with snow fights with my little brother and lots of mint tea :)

I just have to say... I love your blog! It's so simple; so uplifting. You always find a way to point out the good things and the happy moments in life, instead of focusing on the bad! You are an excellent writer, as well, which makes it that much more intriguing to come read your blog every day! Thanks for always putting a smile on my face and reminding me to stop and look around!
