on to the next holiday, right?

As a lover of the sun and the beach and warm days spent at outdoor cafes, I sort of struggle this time of year. The Chicago cold can be difficult, can be frustrating, can force you to hibernate and hole up beneath piles and piles of blankets.

... But the holidays make all of those grey days worth it--the lights and the music and the snow nestled on all the branches. I cling to holiday cheer to stay afloat, to keep warm, and Samantha Hahn's festive illustrations are my enlivening little ray of sunshine for the day:
Lovely, right? Visit Samantha's blog, maquette, for more of her gorgeous artwork--and see the rest of her holiday cheer collection here.

Happy Monday!

Very pretty! I agree, sometimes the cold is unbearable. It gets worse for me around January and February because there is nothing else to look forward to except spring!
