happiness, in pages.

First, a big thank you to everyone who has already entered the giveaway! If you haven't yet, go check it out and be sure to enter by Sunday night!

And second, oh, just a little musing about good days:
My days, lately, tend to be rated according to pages: how many I've read, how many I've written, how many I've stared at blankly while wishing I were frolicking along the streets of Europe instead.

It's interesting, isn't it, to realize what a "good" day means to you?

Usually, for me, it means that the sun is out and the sky is blue.

That my friends and family are in good health, good spirits.
That I've had at least one really wonderful, refreshing conversation.
That I've managed to read something witty or insightful.
That a to-do item--or, rather, all of my to-do items--are done.
That I've got a full pack of sweet mint Orbit gum handy.
That I've had a lovely little date with my iPod at the gym.
And that, thanks to all of these things, I'm breathing easily.

How do you judge a day? What makes it 'good' or 'bad'?

What conditions or events or people or things have an impact?

This is such a great question, I never thought of it like this before! I'd say a good day starts with some extra time to linger over coffee and reading, that's for sure.

Thought-provoking! For me a good day is one in which I've kept my sense of humor. Just seems to smooth away any rough edges. :)

A good day is when you still don't know how you're feeling but somehow things seem clearer, less murky...

A good day for me is one that is spent with the girl I love most in the world!
