September 10, 2010

an end-of-the-week confession.

On this lovely little Friday, I'm going to give you a rare glimpse into my thoughts... (yes, brace yourselves.) See, sometimes I like to play this game with myself while I'm sitting on the subway or walking to work or, I don't know, putting off my entire to-do list. The basic gist of the game is that I think of two general things and decide which one I'd rather keep if I could only have one of them in my life. For instance:

Entertainment: tv or music?... easy--music.
Treats: cake or cookies?... easy--cookies.
fFavors: salty or sweet?... easy--sweet.

Some, though, aren't so easy. And this morning, I nearly gave myself an anxiety attack over having to choose between two survival basics: water or pbj sandwiches?

I kid you not, people, I was nearly sweating having to think about this. In a world without water, I would die. Clearly. But... a world without pbjs? I shuddered and realized that such a bleak world was something I never wanted to imagine again.

And then, upon realizing that the choice between death and pbjs was so difficult for me, I decided that I probably need to reevaluate my life.

To think properly, though, I definitely needed some sustenance--thinking clearly while hungry is just out of the question... so I headed promptly to Potbelly where I ordered a giant, peanut-butter-oozing-out-the-sides pbj.

Yep. Such is my life.

I find this funny because I have almost cried over some of these questions, although my priorities are even more screwed up.

holidays: Christmas or Fall(yes it's a holiday to me)

As much as I love Christmas...nothing can replace seeing the first pumpkin of the year for me.

ok so maybe actual tears were not shed, but I was pretty close!

Such a cute post! I have debated water versus Diet Coke before. Seriously. The obvious choice is water, but Diet Coke can be so cold and so crisp. Super hard choice, as pathetic as it sounds.

oh my god you are too cute! ok this might be weird and kinda off topic but there is a sushi place by my house that serves a pbj roll. sounds kinda gross but it is SOOO freakin GOOD! i am a fan of the pb&j too!

Love doing those types of things too. :)
tv or music? MUSIC.
cakes or cookies? COOKIES.
Salty or sweet? SALTY.

Eww I hate peanut butter! (But ♥ jelly). So I guess I'd pick water. Haha.

LOL I spaz out when I think of stupid things like that too...but just remind yourself that it's not gonna happen! You'll always have both!

Great post. (:

Have a gooooood weekend.

Hi! I'm a fairly new follower... and I don't think you need to re-evaluate your life at all, I would NEVER want to live in a world without PBJs, especially oozy ones like the picture you've posted.
