I tend to go through phases with my photography---and for one reason or another, the current trend seems to be door handles. 
At first, since I'm usually more attracted to bold, bright colors, I wondered why I was tending toward such a melancholy sort of subject... but then I realized that doors are actually one of the most hopeful subjects I could choose---they do represent opportunity, after all.
