I read Eat, Pray, Love while I was abroad, making sure to read the Rome (eat!) portion of the book while I was actually in Rome... and of course I followed Liz Gilbert's lead, eating my weight in pasta and enjoying every last second of it.
It was a surreal sort of experience and the book was made all the more special to me because of it--and now, with the movie coming out in only a couple weeks, I can't stop daydreaming about my time there, in The Eternal City:

The language, the architecture, the art, the cathedrals, the fountains, the food--oh, the food!
It was one of the most magical places I traveled to while I was abroad and I cannot wait to go back someday... it's on my long (make that very long) list of places to visit--or, in some cases, revisit--later in my lifetime.
So tell me--what cities are you dying to visit?

Oh Rome... Of course, I'm dying to visit that beautiful city. But overall, you could say a good deal of my day is spent daydreaming of traveling across all of Europe. Anywhere and everywhere with good art, cathedrals, castles, and countrysides...
I've been wanting to read Eat, Pray, Love for a while now and I just found a copy at the thrift store for 75 cents! Hooray! I cannot wait to start reading!
