what i think about while riding the subway.

People always say that you should pursue the thing you loved as a child--if you enjoyed animals, maybe you should become a veterinarian. If you were passionate about singing, you might want to get involved with music. If you always pretended you were a teacher, well... you get it.

When I was younger, I wanted to be three things:
1. An illustrator
2. A broadway actress
3. A spy

At first glance, these might seem like three totally unrelated dreams. but actually, there's one thing they all have in common: stories.

An illustrator creates a visual story.
An actress plays out a story.
A spy searches out other people's stories.

In becoming a writer, then, it looks like I'm doing exactly what it is that I'm meant to do - share stories.

Yep. Maybe those people are on to something.

... what were your childhood dreams?

It's so awesome you've found your place in life!

I'm still searching for mine. Although, my childhood dreams were to be a veterinarian and a doctor.

I think first I wanted to be a mom :) Then I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. Now, who knows? :)
