le printemps - le temps d'amour?

I've always thought of summer as the prime time for romance - after all, isn't that where the idea of summer love came from?

But this morning I overheard a strikingly elegant woman in a red trench coat say that she loves spring because to her, it is the season for falling in love...

And something about her poise and casual grace made me think that she's the sort of person who knows everything, so I got to thinking about springtime: the fresh flowers, the blooming tree buds, the long walks in the rain, the arm-in-arm strolls beneath an umbrella, the low hum of winter erupting into a bird song symphony...

And I thought: perhaps the elegant red trench woman is on to something. Of course, as a lover of summer and summer loves themselves, I'm not completely convinced... but well - perhaps.

What do you think?

I think she may be on to something. After all spring is the time for all things new and fresh and new love is just wonderful. Then you can spend the summer days having fun and getting to know each other.

I believe she may be onto something. The air is always fresher and my attitude is always peppier in spring than in summer...Spring is for falling in love with life and summer is for falling in love with each other. =D

spring is definitely a season for love! not to say summer isn't, but I think they can share the title :) spring provides a perfect backdrop for love, like you said, with the flowers blooming, the birds singing. what more could two lovers ask for?

btw, gorgeous image in this post! I could frame it!

spring is when love blooms--summer is when you figure out if that love has wings!!

seriously, spring fever?!! that's what it's all about. people get out of all those winter clothes, come out refreshed and half-naked and such and there's no stopping them.

spring is the season for love, i couldn't agree more!! oh how nice that would be...

that's perfect!
i think that spring is the time for flirtations and getting to know you dates that lead to summer romances.
there's nothing like just the tiniest nip in the air still to use as an excuse for snuggles.
