december in the city

Yesterday was Chicago's first real snow of the season!
Lincoln Park turns into such a beautiful winter wonderland...
Have you ever noticed that a clean blanket of snow seems to make the world turn quiet? It made my morning walk to work so calm and refreshing... there's just something very innocent and exciting about snow, something about that light crunch beneath your boots that makes you crave Christmas and hot apple cider and makes you feel nine years old again...

I'm definitely a summer person, but I have to admit: I think December in the city is making winter grow on me a little.

ooooh I love the first snowfall, walking in the snow. It's so calming. Enjoy! All we've got on the west coast is wind and rain!

Sounds like a wonderful morning!! Yesterday, it snowed in the hills above my school... I was awe struck... it doesn't snow too often here. I agree.. snow is pure magic!! Have a wonderful day... I love your posts by the way. xo

I wish it would snow here!! considering it has been -20 degrees this week. we are supposed to get snow "flurries" but i am pretty sure it is nothing like the snowfall in Chicago.
