good old ge

I've lived in Glen Ellyn my entire life and the one thing I missed most while I was in San Diego the past four years was fall in my small hometown... So I decided to make a day trip on Saturday and just decompress from my busy week.

Main Street:
Across from the train station:
The view from outside my house:
(Yes, the castle in the distance is my high school)
Driving down the colorful, tree-lined streets and playing basketball in my driveway with Radley, I felt that unique pang of familiarity and comfort that only home can bring.

What's your favorite thing about where you're from?

I moved all the time as a kid. My parents don't live anywhere near any of my childhood homes. But I am orignally from Southern California and just being in the area feels like home. Right now, I am in love with Chritmas decortions in 70* weather. I loved it when I was 5 and I still do :)

There is this distinct scent of fall in the Rocky Mountains. If I could replicate it, I'd cover everything in it! None of my neighbors had fenced yards when I was growing up....we'd play night games literally down the block, running through each others yards. Oh how I miss innocence and security!
